Salary:
$55,000-$65,000 annually, depending on experience and interview. Some weekends.
Job purpose
Manufacturer in Portage County, Ohio seeking a Maintenance Manager at its facility in Ravenna. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for maintaining all systems and equipment within facility and will ensure that all facility safety, profitability, production, and cost goals are met consistently. This will require accordance with every aspect of reactive, diagnostic, predictive, and preventative maintenance processes in collaboration with the facility General Manager. Maintenance Manager ensures that all maintenance dept. employees are well-trained, accountable, and understand every aspect of their roles and responsibilities. Maintenance Manager understands how the fulfillment of duties within this role align with the long-term vision of the organization while balancing the impacts of the role's duties with the organization's day-to-day operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
Train, supervise, direct and advise department employees in accordance with safety all safety policies and procedures.
Responsible for the minimization of breakdown and slow-time as a result of equipment failure. Manages equipment and maintains critical parts inventory.
Responsible for the organizing and prioritizing of work orders. Provides direction to workers for completion of job assignment and follow-up to assure timelines are attained.
Oversee audits and inspections, as well as other various projects.
Accountable for maintenance department employee performance and project time lines. Understands how maintenance activities and slow-time can impact the system, as a whole.
Manages and implements predictive, preventive and reactive maintenance process for the facility to ensure reliability of equipment and systems. Reviews PM schedule for accuracy and completeness. Provides direction and feedback.

Manages department spending, performance, and follow-through. Brainstorms, organizes, and initiates programs and procedures to enhance performance with efficient financing. Works with managers effectively to ensure policies and goals of the organization are met, and hopefully exceeded.

Communicates and ensures that associates follow all plant directives and rules, work instructions, safety rules, housekeeping standards, quality standards and environmental policies.
Determines skill gaps within the department and defines training to bridge the gaps. Responsible for ensuring that associates have the right tools, gages, equipment, and PPE to perform their job on a day-to-day basis.
Approves and verifies accuracy of employee work hours and manages complete/correct maintenance records.
Supervises and communicates with employees regarding job performance, daily expectations, attendance, breaks, discipline addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Collaborates with EHS Manager to ensure regular departmental safety audits are performed and equipment/facility is maintained in safe working order.
Aware of consequences to the customer, environment and the employee if procedures are not followed. Promotes good housekeeping.
Communicates all key events and information to General Manager to assure continuity in safety, quality and productivity.
All other duties as deemed necessary by the General Manager.

Qualifications
Required - 2 yr college degree or university program certificate OR 2-4 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required - Must be committed to a high standard of safety and be willing and able to comply with all safety laws, polices, and rules. Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by company. Must be regularly available to work at least 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week. Must be available and willing to work such overtime as is necessary or desirable to meet business needs. Must be able to stand, bend and stoop. Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Working conditions and environment
Noise may exceed 85-90db-- must wear hearing protection.
Exposure to extreme heat.
Normal equipment used
Hand tools, hydraulics, electronics and other equipment. Safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and steel toed shoes are required.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
